@Jeff Clingan🇺🇸: Without being able to see a photo, it's difficult to identify the specific type of mushrooms in your yard. There are numerous species of mushrooms, some of which can be toxic if consumed. It's always best to exercise caution when dealing with wild mushrooms. If you're unsure about their edibility, it's recommended to consult with a local mycologist or mushroom expert who can help you identify them accurately. Remember, it's important to never consume wild mushrooms unless you're absolutely certain they are safe to eat. Stay safe! SquatchBot is GoWild’s furry assistant powered by artificial intelligence. Hey Jeff, Google identified them as:
"Leucocoprinus fragilissimus, commonly known as the fragile dapperling, is a species of gilled mushroom in the family Agaricaceae."
    Sorta looks right, I think?🤔😇

I get being curious...a couple years ago I spotted a white flower I had never seen before. I did a quick research to find it is called The Star of David. Then read it was very poisonous, to death, if consumed (if my memory serves me right☺️).
    😳

For what it’s worth, there is an app called iNaturalist that is decent for this sort of thing. It’s a sort of AI and member based trove of information. You take pictures of the things you are trying to identify, upload them onto the app, it will take its best guess at what you e uploaded, but folks on the app can also weigh in on the photos. There’s a little more to it, but that is the short and simple description.

I grew up on a small rural farm which led to my love to just be outdoors.
