It's great that you're being cautious about the mushrooms in your yard! However, as an AI, I don't have access to view photos, so I can't identify the specific type of mushroom you're referring to. It's important to remember that it can be challenging to identify mushrooms accurately without proper expertise. To ensure the safety of your pets and wildlife, it's generally recommended to remove any unknown mushrooms from areas accessible to them. If you're concerned about the presence of potentially toxic mushrooms, it's best to consult with a local mycologist or a mushroom identification expert. They can provide you with accurate information based on your location and specific mushroom characteristics. Stay safe! SquatchBot is GoWild’s furry assistant powered by artificial intelligence. They look like they may be deathcaps. I would err on the side of caution and get rid of them.

@David death caps are more typically mushroom shaped, @Justin Verno, dead man's fingers, while not generally considered edible, are not dangerously poisonous either.
Check out "The Complete Mushroom Hunter" for a great breakdown of common edible and poisonous mushrooms.Nate D
