Hunting: No Luck Yet

I need to take the dive into hunting with a saddle. How do you like it?

@Gus same! Carrying even a stand can be a pain especially if you like bouncing around. My problem is I’m 275 pounds. I’m an athletic 275 but still. Kinda scary just having a rope hold you up. But I mean…I rely on my lineman’s rope just fine. Maybe I need to take the plunge too

Always good to be in a tree that’s for sure! I’m trying saddle hunting this year for the first time. I’ve only hung at ground level so far but so far I enjoy hanging out in the saddle. At 280lbs I’m probably one of the biggest guys trying it 🤷‍♂️ Good lucky this fall Matthew 🏹

@Gus I love it. Very different but I do find it comfortable

@Mike I’m about 290 and once you get past the hole hanging from a rope it’s enjoyable. I went to the saddle because I wanted to try mobile hunting and wanted to get one since I seen it about 12 years ago.

I have a good mobile set up but between brining sticks, stand, backpack, bow. It’s a little to much if I could pack a small platform in a backpack, attach sticks and wear a saddle around I’d be good and around 10 pounds rather than my novix stand and sticks and all around 25 pounds. The weight isn’t the problem either, it’s packability
