    I have been following your posts and I enjoy them. It’s cool to see a seldom heard of breed performing like they do.

    @Brandon do you run plotts?

  • Brandon's avatar

    Yes sir I do. I like them

    @Brandon I was seriously considering getting a couple of plotts. If my plan of bringing the dogs from Russia fell through four years ago, I would’ve been hunting with plotts today. Without a doubt.

    @Alexander well it certainly looks like you have a couple of fine game catchers ! How big are those dogs ?

    Never heard of that breed. Can you give me more information on them. I love animals and wildlife. I have a part lab/part black and tan coonhound ( we think) I’m training to be a shed finder and hopefully to go out and find lost deer, after a hunt.

    @Brandon the females are 50lbs, the male is 68lbs (just took them to a vet to get shots, so I know the exact numbers😃)

    @Shan laika is a “tree dog” that uses all of its three senses: eyes, nose and ears to locate game. These dogs are very fast and very gritty. Fun to hunt with.

    @Alexander oh they are a little bigger than I assumed! I assumed about 40-45 FM and 50-60 for males. Keep us updated !

    Awesome dogs, I've never heard of the breed before. They don't look like the typical hunting dog you see around here, so cool to learn about them and their history.

    @Jackie thank you. I’ll post some more info on this breed.

    I like watching your you tube videos. I’m running a mountain cur and have. A Stephen’s cur pup. I like to hike and free cast but pick my spots since we have wolves here

    @Michael I’m hoping to go on my first trip out west with my dogs next winter. The wolves is my biggest concern. Getting my truck stuck in the snow is also somewhat of a concern for me 😅 I hear curs hunts in a similar fashion as laikas do!
