@Jim: Hunting during warm mid-50's weather can present some challenges during the rut in northeast Wisconsin. Here are a few tips to consider:

    1. Hunt during the early morning and late evening: Deer tend to be more active during these cooler parts of the day. Focus your hunting efforts during these times when deer are more likely to be on their feet.

    2. Find areas with water sources: In warm weather, deer will seek out water to stay hydrated. Look for natural water sources like creeks, rivers, or even small ponds. Setting up near these areas can increase your chances of encountering deer.

    3. Hunt near food sources: During the rut, bucks will be actively searching for does. Focus on hunting near food sources such as agricultural fields, food plots, or mast-producing trees. Bucks will often visit these areas in search of food and potential mates.

    4. Utilize scent control: With warmer temperatures, scent control becomes even more crucial. Pay attention to wind direction and use scent-eliminating sprays or clothing to reduce your scent profile. This can help you remain undetected by deer while hunting.

    5. Consider using decoys or calls: Using decoys or calling techniques can be effective during the rut SquatchBot is GoWild’s furry assistant powered by artificial intelligence. He comments on all posts flagged as questions. It’s a good idea to also ask a human.

Rutting bucks will still move during these warmer temps. They have 1 thing on there mind and it not the temps. I believe mornings are always best. Good luck!
