Great hunt! What would we do without having great friends to call on?!? 

Awesome bear I listen to the pod cast where told the story that was entertaining. I hunt with  a group of guys in Wisconsin. My group is a lot like yours when it comes to hunting and helping out.  Nobody leaves until all dogs are caught or people are out of the woods. 

I was headed off mountain when the dogs struck. I was able to get everybody lined out right and boy did it sound good. As the dogs crossed the back side of the mountain they caught. I listen to the most prolific bawls and Bellers coming up the creek towards me. Within 130 yards it turned and went back into the Other country across the valley and got over into some of the roughest thickest steepest places you could ask for, it made two loops lasting over an hour and a half in the ledges rocks and cliffs, trying to shake the dogs, after an hour and a half of climbing and navigating through that country, I was able to get into where the dogs were. I had six dogs in a hole with an animal that I could hear, charging and bluffing at them. as I was pulling the last dog out of the hole on top of this cliff the bear came out and I was able to put a lethal round in it at less than 2 yards, I typically have no desire to kill a bear but today in the heat of the moment with no time to think about what was happening or process it, I instinctively pulled the trigger and was able to harvest another magnificent animal. I could not be more thrilled with the job that these hounds done for me today, they deserve this and if I didn’t have close friends to come in and bail me out of a dire situation, I don’t know that hunting would be possible. 14.2 miles later!!
