    I love those pretty Brookies 😊

    @Lisa probably my favorite. Next time we might try to find bigger water with bigger fish, but even the little gifts from God are sooooo awesome.

    Beautiful words. The Brook trout was my 1st out West. Similar size of yours. We ate the little guy😁
    Terrible pic

    Brookies are awesome critters! Cagey like a mule deer but super fun. Fun fact brook trout are not actually trout but a species of char.

    @Casi and beautiful too!

    @Brandon bonus points for you!😎👊. In all my years I’ve only seen one that was big enough to have the hooked jaw.

    @Mike I've never seen one in person that big, in fact I've only ever managed to hook up on one and it may have been just shy of my index finger in length when I used to live in Pennsylvania. There is a river about 2 hours west of me here in Maryland that is a class A "trout stream" (it's really a river) meaning it no longer needs human assistance to maintain healthy population's of various aquatic life. It's also managed as a trophy trout stream where you can put and take as long as the brook trout are at least 12 inches and brown and rainbows must be at least 24 inches in length. Really want to make the trip over there one day and get back into fly fishing.

    Now that's going old school, by hand! Beautiful background. Sure sounds like a trip of a lifetime.

    @Jeff hoping to get back there next spring🤤

    There is a river system over my way that the limit on Brook trout is 20. The fight they put up is so much fun!

  • Mike's avatar

    @Jeff wow! That’s a HUGE brookie. I’ve caught one 20 incher in my life, haha. Most of the streams here had no size limit, bag limit was 10 that were 8” or less.

    @Mike the state wants to increase cutthroat numbers. It's pretty much open season on the Brookies. If you're ever out this way, I might know a spot or two!

  • Mike's avatar

    @Jeff I’d love to take you up on that some day!👊
