I started setting out a few asparagus plants this week in North Texas.

@E nice... weve never tried asparahus... our potato seeds are set in place already, they'll be fine until soil warms up. We've always had good luck with potatoes in the spring.

Our potatoes started sprouting this week. Grandkids came for a week in February and we planted onions, taters and set out cabbage plants . So far everything is growing good.

@Sherri Asparagus is nice to have because it is a perennial.

@Sherri I added another large raised bed just for asparagus.

We look forward to our grand kids coming over to plant. They seem to enjoy that time in the soil. I have a designated area just for them to plant. Good times. Kids should learn how to grow their food. Kiddos to you for getting the kiddos involved.
