@Rachel That’s on my want to do list lol, I’ve never been on a Hog hunt but I definitely want to go on one. Good Luck on the rest of your Deer season and on them Hogs!

@Rachel Oh yeah for sure, there’s Hogs just a few minutes down the road from where I live, I’ve seen a bunch of them but I haven’t got to hunt them yet. I’ve got to get permission from a land owner and then I’ll be able to go hopefully lol.

@Stephen you could set up a spot with stinky bait and they’d come to you and you can pop them

@Mark noooooo oh man I hate that. I would have cried for sure. With Fred I thought I missed and that was my 2nd chance at him. Thankfully I hit perfect. Was my 1st time with a rifle though

@Mark yes very blessed for sure! My co workers keep telling me they’ll have to watch me next year cause of the season I’ve had

@Rachel I gonna have to take notes! Lol . I’ve been at this for 30yrs! and yeah I’ve got deer on the wall . And I usually get two in a season. But it just hasn’t been my year . At least I got one in the freezer so I am grateful for that. I’m also managing my property. I expect next year will pay off since I’ll be going into my 4th yr of management

@Mark Do you put out mineral blocks? My pops swears by them. We have several out on our property. They are cheap and deer don’t just go through them like corn
Mark C

Oh yes I do too!. Molasses. And 50 lbs bags of wild berries blend I get from tractor supply. Deer will walk past corn to get to that stuff.
Rachel N

@Mark the mineral blocks we have have been torn up! It’s crazy to see
Mark C

@Rachel for years now every food plot I make I put 2 50% mineral blocks on the edge or far back of the field or in the middle just depends on the size of the plot . And by gun season it’s a natural watering hole for the deer .
