My younger brother made this old guy shed some tears the other day.  I received a box a couple days ago and inside were these gems.  

That wicker creel was my dad’s.  Oh, how I wish I had a nickel, nay, a penny, for every trout it has held over the years.  Seeing the iconic sinker container, worm container, and fly box conjured cherished memories of the man who introduced me to our natural world and lit a flame which I pray is never extinguished.  I have dad’s flyrod and will create a space for it and the relics in my new shop.

As a bonus, Dan included several ziplock baggies of photos of my dad’s family, many I’ve never seen until now.  Nearly all of those in the photographs are gone now.  What an incredibly thoughtful gift this was.  Thanks, Dan!
