Good griefβ¦. I just saw a post of someone shed hunting in Georgia and their daughter picked daffodils. Now, youβre bragging on peepers. It took me 3 hours to shovel and plow todayπ€¨

@Mike when I moved to Tennessee from Pennsylvania, my intent was to stop and put down roots in the first place where the inhabitants didnβt know what a snow shovel was. I ended up

@Mike when I moved to Tennessee, my intent was to stop in the first place where the inhabitants didnβt know what a snow shovel was. I ended up where I am because I realized that was a folly. Too many people from the north beat me here. I stayed because of the beauty of this place. βΊοΈ Iβm considered a βdamned Yankee.β βYankeesβ visit but eventually leave. βDamned Yankeesβ visit and never leave! π

That is fantastic! I never let the rooster near the hens, as I just wanted eggs. But I do remember buying the little things and keeping them inside and warm until they got bigger. It is a wonderful sound. reminds me of some baby quail that we peeled off of the rain soaked ground that they were dying on. They, once revived, had an awesome sound too. Enjoy, Rick!π

@Lisa welcome back Lisa! I think heβs talking about these. Iβm betting you guys donβt have them in Montana. Listen for them in a few months if youβre still in Ohio, theyβre awesome. Our area is full of them and they are pure music when it warms up.

@Mike Nice! No, I definitely didn't know that was what he was talking about. π He was heading to the chicken house....2+2=6
lol.
Ya know, I rarely hear frogs. I've never heard them in Montana, you're right. Surely they were there, lol, I just never heard them.
Thanks for the welcome back!!π€πΌπ€πΌ πLisa οΏ½

@Mike Maybe they aren't in MT, as my search on Google didn't show anything. I've lived in Ohio longer than MT, so my guess is I've heard them but never knew their name. π

@Lisa haha, bubba mathπ. Go near water in April and youβll hear them this spring no doubt. Something primal about them

@Mike
I'll do that. πΈ
Ya know, when someone would ask me (or if I volunteered the info) what my biggest dream was....it actually included hearing frogs in my little pond outside the house at night. πMike L

@Mike
Lol......Will you cover me (with a shotgun, if I start diggin' on someone else's land)? I would need land first, but if you know of a good spot....let me know, and I'll grab my shovel. heeπAppalachian A

yesterday I broke ice in the creek hole and took an unexpected dip in the creek and froze, today I waded into the swamp to the sound of peepers as I was drenched in heavy rain. π
