    Good grief…. I just saw a post of someone shed hunting in Georgia and their daughter picked daffodils. Now, you’re bragging on peepers. It took me 3 hours to shovel and plow today🀨

    @Mike oh, our daffys have been out for a week!

    @Mike when I moved to Tennessee from Pennsylvania, my intent was to stop and put down roots in the first place where the inhabitants didn’t know what a snow shovel was. I ended up

    @Mike when I moved to Tennessee, my intent was to stop in the first place where the inhabitants didn’t know what a snow shovel was. I ended up where I am because I realized that was a folly. Too many people from the north beat me here. I stayed because of the beauty of this place. ☺️ I’m considered a β€œdamned Yankee.” β€œYankees” visit but eventually leave. β€œDamned Yankees” visit and never leave! 😎

    That is fantastic! I never let the rooster near the hens, as I just wanted eggs. But I do remember buying the little things and keeping them inside and warm until they got bigger. It is a wonderful sound. reminds me of some baby quail that we peeled off of the rain soaked ground that they were dying on. They, once revived, had an awesome sound too. Enjoy, Rick!πŸ˜‡

    @Lisa welcome back Lisa! I think he’s talking about these. I’m betting you guys don’t have them in Montana. Listen for them in a few months if you’re still in Ohio, they’re awesome. Our area is full of them and they are pure music when it warms up.

    @Gobbler Ted Nugent was in that band, haha

    @Mike ha! Indeed he was! Uncle Ted!

    @Mike Nice! No, I definitely didn't know that was what he was talking about. πŸ˜‚ He was heading to the chicken house....2+2=6
    lol.
    Ya know, I rarely hear frogs. I've never heard them in Montana, you're right. Surely they were there, lol, I just never heard them.
    Thanks for the welcome back!!πŸ€œπŸΌπŸ€›πŸΌ πŸ˜‡

    @Mike Maybe they aren't in MT, as my search on Google didn't show anything. I've lived in Ohio longer than MT, so my guess is I've heard them but never knew their name. 😜

    @Lisa haha, bubba mathπŸ‘Š. Go near water in April and you’ll hear them this spring no doubt. Something primal about them

  • Lisa's avatar

    @Mike
    I'll do that. 🐸
    Ya know, when someone would ask me (or if I volunteered the info) what my biggest dream was....it actually included hearing frogs in my little pond outside the house at night. 😊

    @Lisa get digging!

  • Lisa's avatar

    @Mike
    Lol......Will you cover me (with a shotgun, if I start diggin' on someone else's land)? I would need land first, but if you know of a good spot....let me know, and I'll grab my shovel. hee😜

    yesterday I broke ice in the creek hole and took an unexpected dip in the creek and froze, today I waded into the swamp to the sound of peepers as I was drenched in heavy rain. πŸ™ƒ
