Thank you for sharing this update, Samuel. It's amazing to hear about Gary's progress and recovery. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family during this difficult time. Beautiful write up on Gary, Samuel! Praise the Lord he is able to stay with everyone longer! I'm sure that trial will be neat to see! I'm guessing you're going? Post how that goes if ya do, k?🙂

Hey everyone. I posted about Gary Riddle the dog trainer who got hit by a train in his truck about a month ago, and I figured that I should give an update. Gary was give a less than 2% chance to live when he came into the hospital. It is a miracle that he even survived, let alone have the improvement that he has had in this last month. In under 1 1/2 weeks he was able to comprehend what people said when they talked to him, and he was able to respond by writing on a whiteboard. By weeks he was taking his first few small steps, and able to stand up for short periods of time on his own. By 2 1/2 weeks he was almost completely off the ventilator, and talking on his own. By 3 weeks he was off the ventilator completely, and moved out of the ICU, to a recovery wing of the hospital. He was also insting that his kids go out and buy him a new truck for when the got out of there, so they went and got him a new truck. At 4 weeks he went home, and now is insting that he is going to run dogs at a trial next week, about 6 weeks after his accident, which may or may not happen, but most likely he will walk the dog to the line, then his son will run the dog for him, but I promise you that there won't be a dry eye in the crowd. He completely lost his left eye, which is nothing for the extremity of the accident. From what I know, he had 5+ surgeries to rebuild his face, and atleast 4 others to rebuild his chest cavity and rib cage, and has many more to come in the future. Thank you all so much for the prays. They were truly life saving. God works in wonderful ways, and many of us now get to see a very good friend back up on his feet. Again, thank you for your prays.
