@Justin Campanelli I’ve been at it hard for at least 4 plus years Justin.  Last year had a bird come in on my decoys, only to slip in my seated pad and dropped the barrel and obliterated my decoy.  Turned it around this year finally!

@John Billings persistence pays my friend, can't tell you how many I have messed up on! Being after them for 4 plus years I'm sure makes your first one so  bitter sweet!

Went in at 4:30 am.  Starting calling around 5 am, Tom’s on the other ridge (about 6 of them) were gobbling nonstop to the puck call.  Changed to box and the went silent.

Then I moved up into the woods along a stream around 8:30 am.  Setup decoys and and at 9:15 heard a bevy of shots up on top of the ridge.  

Then I heard the ruffling of the wings and he landed 15’ from me.  Put the bead on him of the Black Eagle III and let a Winchester 3.5” 1300 fly.

The result, my first ever harvested Turkey at 54 years of age!
