Sounds like y’all had some fun! Are the birds vocal in Florida?

@John been hit or miss. Our first day they gobbled their brains out. Not a peep day two or three, day four they gobbled like crazy and today there’s been a little bit.

Congrats on a successful trip. Turkey hunting is still good in parts of Fl. Although like the orange trees behind you in pic 6 they are starting to run out of real estate. Especially in central Fl. Too damn many people. Glad you enjoyed your time and got to see some of what made Fl great.

@Danny I started to become aware of that after hunting a couple different places, the first not far from Lake Okeechobee and the second outside of Immokalee. One of the gentleman that let me hunt talked a lot about the area being one of the last parts of “old Florida” and how it won’t be long and it’ll be gone. Never hunter a place so different from home. Loved every bit of it.

@Nate He is correct. Those areas you spoke of and what we call the big bend on west around the panhandle still has some parts of Old Florida. I am in the middle close to the West coast, straight East of Orlando. Tampa is closing in fast from the South. It is sad to see for us true “crackers “. My season starts Saturday and I have a couple of decent prospects. Going to enjoy it for as long as I can. Good luck on your other hunts this spring
