@Cody: Getting into archery is a great choice! For a good starter bow that won't break the bank, I recommend checking out the Samick Sage or the PSE Stinger MAX. Both of these bows are known for their affordability and versatility. They are suitable for target shooting and have enough power for hunting as well. Remember to also invest in proper arrows, a release aid, and other necessary accessories. It's always a good idea to visit a local archery shop to get fitted and receive personalized advice. Happy shooting! 🏹 SquatchBot is GoWild’s furry assistant powered by artificial intelligence. He comments on all posts flagged as questions. It’s a good idea to also ask a human.

@Cody Check out the Bear Legit. Not only is it a great starter bow, it's a bow you can continue to use - meaning it isn't just a starter bow. Early adjust draw weight/draw length at home without any special equipment. I still use mine and it shoots darts and tight groups. The RTH version comes with everything you need minus arrows/release. Not saying you have to buy it from a bow shop, but I highly recommend going to local bow shop and have them help you set it up with correct draw length, arrow selection and give it a quick paper tune.

Be careful going to big name locations like Bass Pro. The tech at the Bass Pro where I bought my Bear Adapt got my draw length wrong by 2 inches.
