    I need someone to take me “ under their wing” on upland, I’ve never done it and I’ll be honest from a distance idk if it’s for me. But I Gota at least try. One of these days

    @Scotty upland and waterfowl are so much fun because you can shoot the bull with friends during the hunt, action can be fast, lots of trigger time can be had and the fare is way underrated by those that don’t know how to cook it. And any sunrise shared with a good dog is awesome. Find a gun club and you’ll find future mentors and partners. Or, if you’ve got a 3000 mile round trip in ya, I can hook you up too, haha.

    I do those SXS!

    @Mike haha I appreciate the offer 👊, and you never know I might take ya up on it one of these days. My work schedule is absolutely time draining currently but eventually I’ll settle down to a normal job and hours and be able to apply myself. Looking forward.

    @Chuck I love em. One of these days I’m going to use my dad’s SxS 10 on geese. Waiting for a part to come in and that’ll take the top spot👊

    @Scotty enjoy the ride man, it all has meaning and will get you where you’re supposed to go👊

    @Mike man that is living family history! What a tribute. I have never hunted water fowl but @Derek tells me it is life changing

    Yes they are I miss hunt duck and quail

  • Derek's avatar

    @Chuck it is! Haha. I'm pretty much constantly thinking about ducks and gooses these days. Drew a sandhill crane tag for KY this year also, so already planning for that.

    I have one of those stevens 311’s in .410. Was my grandpas.

    @Derek I forget how fortunate we. In Texas that we do t have to draw

  • Mike's avatar

    @Chuck man, the first time you call to a duck or goose and it turns in, wings cupped and goes feet down, you.... will..... be...... hooked!

  • Mike's avatar

    @William memories are half the fun and I’m sure you have plenty, go make some more man👊

  • Mike's avatar

    @KYLE yessir, balanced nicely and a sweet swinger. Thanks!👊

  • Mike's avatar

    @Brian I’ll bet she could tell some serious stories man. Can’t imagine how many rabbits that gun reduced to hasenpfeffer

  • Kyle's avatar

    I’ve got a 311 20ga that was my uncles that i absolutely love and shoot awesome with, unfortunately it’s having issues that I just can’t seem to get ironed out. Replaced a bunch of

  • Mike's avatar

    @KYLE firing pin issues?

  • Kyle's avatar

    @Mike it gets light strikes but only when it does it if that makes sense. It’s not light strikes at all when it does fire. Got new pins, hammers, springs, I’ve shimmed action to tighten everything up but still does it randomly. Seems like it’s worse after you’ve shot some rounds through it. I talked to a guy that specializes in break actions he said it sounds like the action needs reworked... ballpark was $400...

  • Brian's avatar

    @Mike probably a fair handful.

  • Mike's avatar

    @KYLE ouch. I hate the ones that are hard to chase down. I wonder if it has debris in the action. I had a Marlin that acted like that and a complete deconstruction and cleaning fixed it. Sounds like your previous attempts would’ve caught that though. If nothing else, they’re too pretty to not keep on the rack

    Killed a pair of woodies with the same gun in 12ga. this season. It was my great granddaddy's gun. I found an amazing hole that had probably 100 woodies in it and I didn't even bother shouldering it until 7:30 cause I just wanted to watch the show. We really don't have many ducks around here so any time I find some I try to milk it for all it's worth lol

  • Mike's avatar

    @Appalachian I’m not saying I don’t have any fancy new guns, but it’s funny how the older I get, the older my hunting “partners” get too, haha. We got lucky today and had quite a show while waiting for hours. I don’t blame ya for just taking it all in man👊

  • Appalachian's avatar

    @Mike same, i have a cva black powder double that's gonna roll smoke at the swamp this season. Gonna order some bismuth to sling out of it too, maybe hevi shot or tss if I'm feeling real crazy lol

  • Mike's avatar

    @Appalachian haha, that’s funny. I just picked up a Navy Arms double 12 mz. Keep your powder dry.

  • Appalachian's avatar

    @Mike you too!
