Hey Erik! I’ve not taken anything from the U.S. but I’ve imported lots of stuff in. The US fish and game service does not make it easy to get wildlife parts in or out. I’d recommend finding an exporter to help you clear US fish and game. Finding an importer in sweden may also be necessary to clear any importing laws or agencies you have there. Goodluck, and I hope you can get your trophy back home.

@Green Swedish import is easy as most of our systems 🤣 dont even need a import papper for the hides just need to let a officer check export pappers when it lands in Sweden.

Only problem seems to be us fish and game ^^ that dont even answer my emails so faar

You should be able to find a U.S. taxidermist that could ship it to Sweden.

  • Wes's avatar

Maybe “Jonas Bros. Taxidermy “ as an example.

@Wes well i have a taxidermist who has the hide / trophy at the moment the problem or idea is so faar shiping is looking to be as expensive as me booking tickets my self do another hunting trip and then hopefully bring the finished hides with me back.
And so faar not found a single shiping company that does us - Sweden that is ok with hides

@Erik that’s not good. Once it’s tanned , you should be able to just ship it yourself. Just be sure and send a copy of your hunting license and tag 🏷️ along with it. You said Sweden was ok receiving it correct?

  • Erik's avatar

@Wes Yes i just need export cites - B permits aswell but im trying to see IF there is something else thats needed.

  • Erik's avatar

@Wes problem with shiping is you need a company that okay with hunting trophies ^^

A taxidermist friend of mine says whomever has the hide right now just needs to fill this form out, get the permit, and then send it to you. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • Erik's avatar

@Mike so then that form plus cites permits 👍

  • Erik's avatar

@Mike does your friend know any shiping company that is ok with hunting trophies?

  • Mike's avatar

@Erik he said any of our major carriers can help, but specifically UPS and FedEx 👊

  • Erik's avatar

    @Mike have not ask USP
    FedEx said no

  • Mike's avatar

@Erik I wonder if that’s a regulation set by Sweden, or the individual companies? I wish you luck!

  • Erik's avatar

@Mike 99% the companies that have decided on policies anti hunting

This would be worth a try: http://trophytransport.com/services.php#:~:text=Trophy%20Transport%20is%20the%20Premiere,hunter%2C%20outfitter%2C%20and%20taxidermist.

If you dig deep enough, they show international shipping by air and ocean.
