Does Michigan allow for the take of “nuisance or damaging” wildlife? The terms may be different. I know here in NY, there are many species that you can take if they are damaging property or livestock, whether in season or not. That’s the short version of the legalese. I feel like a rogue tom breaking glass would fall into that category. Either way, good luck. That’s crazy!

Looks like livestock to me. 😂🤣😂🤣. That would have me pretty hot. Hope you get him he’s a nice bird

Ugh! Damn turkeys 🦃!🤬

@Eric @Danny @Mason in Michigan, you have to get a permit on the front end for nuisance animals that are under federal regulation (turkeys, waterfowl). The “Doing or about to do damage” language applies to crows, coyotes, etc but this SOB must’ve read the regs… both of my egress windows are now covered with full sheets of plywood until June or so.

I would think you could kill it since it is breaking and entering 🤣

@Coyote He only broke the first of a double pane. It’d have been a bloody mess if he was standing on the treadmill inside that room🤪🤣. That beard profile is burned into my brain for later😎

Your house will make the best ever turkey blind! Just saying, haha.

@Derek haha, I’m not above it man. They usually migrate through about this time and settle way out back by the time season hits. If he circles back up this way, war is war…

@Mike I remember the hen from a few years ago who always saw her reflection. Happy to see you got a tom hanging out there now.

@Mike ah that makes sense. I honestly can’t say for sure about turkeys here in NY, but imagine they fall into the same realm as you’re talking about there. Now I’m going to have to look at our regs.

That’s very unfortunate and I understand the frustration. But I am sorry, this is a bit hilarious. Hopefully you can get some revenge on that guy.

@Eric hopefully you don’t have to worry about it from damage, haha. Stupid bird…

@Brandon haha, same here. My son sent me a video of him pecking the window when he came home to get something for a college project. When I got home, I went in this room to work out and found it. It was easier to laugh when I saw he didn’t get through both panes.
