@Appalachian I grunted at him, but no rattlin'. He didn't seem bothered by my grunts.

@Derek I haven't had one come to a grunt yet, but I did get one to come to a doe bleat across a beaver swamp once

@Appalachian I've grunted 2 in that I know for sure. I've had a couple other ones that I may have grunted in. Not for sure though.

@Appalachian 50% of the time, it works every time! I wish, but ill be on the fire man truck tomorrow unfortunately.

@Derek that's right lol I was gonna go pound some public to find some killing trees but decided I should probably spoil momma and the boy a little since waterfowl will be here soon. I'm having to find WMAs that offer non quota bonus buck opportunities since I had an itchy trigger finger 🤣

@Derek you're not wrong lol I'm kinda enjoying being forced to look at unfamiliar tracts and breaking them down. Excited to go put boots on the ground soon. I think we might stop by a Mennonite leather shop after while so I can get the stuff to make a leather call lanyard, I'll probably boil it in my trap wax to preserve it.

@Appalachian I had a similar situation a few years back. Was tagged out and decided to do some extra scouting on some other public land while others were trying to fill tags.

@Derek actually I just realized it's bear rifle season and I have never tried to kill one....... planning on taking off some next week to give it a whirl I believe
