Bear Hunt in Virginia: A Memorable Experience

    Looking to learn. “Rig” in this case means that the dog is on the truck platform and fires off when smelling bear scent while underway right? You’re my Google here man.

    @Mike correct. @Chris can probably describe it better, but when they "rig" it just means they are on scent in general. Doesn't necessarily mean they have to be on a truck. They can rig while you're also out just still hunting. I'm probably not using it correctly either to be honest. I'm a real experienced hunt hunter over here....2 whole hunts.

    @Derek haha. I’ve hunted over dogs my whole life, but bird and rabbit dogs, not bear dogs. I assumed “rig” correlated with the truck. Maybe it’s the harness rig?
