That's awesome, congratulations to both of you!

This buck came in hot on the tail of a huge doe at 1:20pm, likely pushed into the swamp I was hunting by hunters coming back into the woods after a lunch break. He was the third consecutive buck I killed from this location during opening day of WI firearms season. 
My mother also had an encounter with a giant 8 we had been hunting in another location on opening morning. She experienced some serious buck fever and was unable to get the buck in her crosshairs before he moved into some thick balsams. Luckily, he moved through the same location the following morning and my mother was not going to let him get away this time!
