Delicious Black Bear Meat Pie Recipe with Garden Veggies and Homemade Mashed Potatoes

So what's it really taste like? I've heard really good beef. I'd really like to give it a try just need to find somebody I know that hunts them. Where did you hunt yours at?

@Wayne I love bear meat. I would say it's beef like but has a bit of a pork taste to it. Honestly, when it's ground like this, you would never know it was any different than beef. I hunted thus particular bear last fall in Colorado. I've also got meat and bear grease from a black bear that we hunted in Virginia last winter.

@Derek that's awesome man. I need to do some hunting in other states. You get either of them rugged or anything?

@Wayne not rugged. I just got the hide tanned and then I have the European mount also. The Virginia bear was actually @Brad's bear that I was just fortunate enough to be able to tag along for and got tons of great bear fat from.

@Derek that's what you call a good friend right there. People don't come off that bear grease for just anyone lol
