    @Mike for sure. Catfish will never be among my top fish favorites but by catfish standards they were top notch

    It's a summertime staple! I'm not a huge fan of the whisker fish either but word on the street is flatheads are the finest eating. Might keep the next one that thinks it's a smallmouth to see if it's true. Or I could just take the spear gun instead of waiting on them to bite, the creek holes are awful clear this time of year 🤔

    @Appalachian flathead is the better of them. Great tasting. Had blue cat too. I keep cats in about the 1- 3 lb range. Best eating size.
