Didn’t know they had Sika deer in MD  Congratulations on your Harvest 

@Eddie Lowman thanks ; they are only in the eastern non hilly counties where they like the swamps and tall fragmite grasses. The property our club leases has no fragmite ( spelling ?) so we don’t have a very big population of them on our 300 or so acres in Dorchester county. 

Beautiful animal and I bet some good eating.. I too didn’t know there was some in Maryland very cool thanks for sharing 

That's cool I watched an episode of Meat Eater where they were on a hunt for those in Maryland, interesting critters.

Been hunting these stealthy Sika deer too long to pass on this one even though he’s a spike I was excited by his visit and took a 25 yard shot to his vital area  between  two trees 8 inches apart. He left a poor blood trail since the hit was high. But he piled up just 60 yards. A great morning  indeed !
