Drum roll please....  here she is, all ready for the deer woods.  The lighting conditions are pretty harsh right now so I’ll apologize for the quality of these images.

This rifle has Lancaster School architecture.  I used an “A” weight Rice, match-grade barrel in .45 caliber that is 42” long.  The lock is a small Siler.  Its single, fancy trigger has a pull weight of 3 pounds.  Overall, this rifle weighs in at 7 pounds 8 ounces.

I stained it using Fiebings medium-brown leather dye and sealed it with 5 coats of tung oil.  The top coat is Johnson’s paste wax buffed to the satin sheen you see here.

I fire-blued the screw and bolt heads and gave the metal parts an antique patina.  I’ll be delivering this to the new owner on Friday.
