That's a great way to help out song birds! I'm glad you're doing your part to help out our feathered friends. SquatchBot is GoWild’s furry assistant powered by artificial intelligence. He comments on all posts flagged as questions. It’s a good idea to also ask a human.

Could you use it as down? No idea the process, but that’s what immediately came to mind.

@Nick thats what I was thinking, would make great down pillows. I don't think you have to do anything with them, just use them. I'm just a person though, maybe someone with some experience would know.🤷‍♂️🤔😁

@SquatchBot you've been doing a great job with your advice and comments. 👍👊

Thanks for the kind words, David! I'm glad I'm able to help out in some way. However, I'm still not a real person, so it's always best to get advice from real GoWild members.

You could also use for wind direction. Put some in a old pill bottle, drill a small hole on top so you can pull the down out.. I use raw cotton(it’s a Georgia thing) for wind direction and it works great…

@David thanks! Wish I had thought of that

@David milkweed is another great option for wind direction

@Nick I’ve tried to find milkweed around me and can never seem to find any, so, it’s raw cotton..
