    Well done in all aspects!

    Those are the best gifts, a little past a bit of present and lessons for the future

    Love it! What an amazing, thoughtful gift and with such memories attached to it. Great job bringing that old plank to back to life.

    Thank you, @David. I’m so blessed to be able to keep honing my skills.

    Indeed I do, @Lisa . Thank you for your interest!

    Those are the best gifts, the ones that come from your heart. You have an amazing talent and a big heart, together she couldn't have a better husband than you. I am sure she will have tears of joy.

    That is awesome, she’ll get no better gift than that. Great work as usual. 👍🏻

    Thank you, @Brian. She deserves far better than me, but she’s stuck so I try to make up for it. ☺️

    @Brian Those are the best gifts. Wish i had a quarter of @Gobbler talent, or @Kevin with his knives, or @Lisa with her baskets. All made with such care, dedication and passion.

    @David 🤗

    @David you and me both, those people have amazing skills.

  • Gobbler Knob's avatar

    @Dave she was reduced to tears. This time, that’s a good thing. ☺️

    @Brian you make dream catchers, Brian! You have skills beyond that too...and David surely does as well. All these things that are being done, can be learned. 😊 I personally love wood work and wish I could carve duck decoys. I went to a wood carvers convention and was amazed.

    @Lisa you hit the nail on the head. I am self-taught and it has taken me 23 years to reach the level of skill I have today. All of the mistakes I’ve made during that time have been filed away as lesson learned. I don’t like to learn things the hard way, but sometimes that’s what it takes.

    Such good words! Your time invested in learning shows on the masterpieces you create. I'm getting to the place that I'm unsure how much longer my hands can do the baskets. I have the makings of an elk quilt (old lady stuff, here I come!) and will tackle that eventually.

    So happy your wife was moved to tears! Heart connections is where it's at! 🤜🏼🤛🏼 You're a good man, as are all those that have commented here. I pray for you guys each by name every night. Wears me out!😆😉

    @Lisa LOL I need all the prayers I can get (don’t we all). 😂

  • Dave's avatar

    @Gobbler great job! A hand made heirloom from a piece of their life. I’m not sure it gets more sentimental. Love it!

  • Lisa's avatar

    @Dave Lol. Hey, I'll add you to my list! Lol
    Now you're gonna have to FOLLOW me and I you....so I can keep track of you & yours.😁

  • Gobbler Knob's avatar

    @Mike we revealed the larceny to her over the weekend and she was honored by the gesture. 😎

    @Mike 🤣😅🤣

    Sounds like you have a good Grandma, Rick.😉

    @Lisa she’s my wife’s grandma, but I adopted her. She’s a keeper!
