Creating a Longbox Turkey Call: Mountain Music Game Calls' New Addition

I have no idea how a guy could build such a beautiful call and ever part ways with it…. That’s probably my favorite of all your box call posts…Stunning…

Nice!! I’ve been wanting a good long box for the last few years. Right now still using my Lynch’s world champion call. It’s worked great so far but would still like to add a long box. Any info on one that will kee kee and gobbler yelp would be awesome.

@Tyler try holding your box straight up and down and slow strike the top 1/3 of the lid edge for the kee kee. To make it a run I just throw a yelp or two on the end. For gobbling, I use one of my wife’s hair ties over the paddle and box and shake it while holding the bottom of the box. I’ll bet a long box would sound even better!

@Mike thanks I can make an ok gobble but this call doesn’t do a keekee very good. I have heard some awesome kee Kees on long boxes.

@Tyler the beauty of custom calls is they can sound better and certainly always look better, but finding one with that sweet spot can be tricky. I think that’s the purpose of a long box is to have more versatility.

That looks awesome! I've got a couple of box calls but they don't look anything like that. Let me know when they go into production.

@David I’m ironing out the design details now. I should be ready to take orders in a couple weeks, maybe sooner.
