    @Joshua If I go by how many of our young spruce trees were rubbed out, I'd say the deer population is up but have not seen many older bucks on the cameras. Our pheasant numbers are down from a high 5 years ago and I our first pair of quail last week since we bought the place 12 yrs ago. The farm is west of Kalona.

    @Joshua I was thinking more of water quality. It's been a while since I checked but yeah Van Buren county has seen some good sized deer.
