That is a lot of “firsts” for one deer. Great work. 

This is going to be one to remember! Congratulations on all those firsts and finally getting one after all these years. Great job in staying with it and persevering.

My first buck in over 20 years of hunting. I don’t have time to go out a lot, so when I saw something legal, I wasn’t going to let it pass. It was also my first compound deer and first deer out of a saddle. 

Double lunged it, but hit a little high and back. It made it another 250-300 yards, but through some thick terrain, making for a difficult track job and an even more difficult drag out. 

I thought I had good blood on the arrow with bubbles but couldn’t find the blood trail for a while. Luckily my dad came up to help and we found it and got it out of the woods.
