    You might want to bury it and cover it with a bucket so the critters don’t chew on it. It will also decompose better in the ground as opposed to put in the air where it will dry out and cause the skin to harden. I like the rustic look better too.

    I strip everything off by hand snd let it sun bleach on a pole.

    I would use that wire to hang it from a tree branch to keep the mice from chewing it up. Skinning it first helps speed the process but it won’t be done until spring when the bugs come and clean it out😉 Burying works too but you run the risk of something coming along and digging it up🤷🏻‍♂️

    I skin the head cut out the tongue and eyes if it’s warm I let the bugs do there thing if it’s colder out I’ll bury them
