I have chased this buck for two months and had 9 encounters with him. He always seemed to have a way of staying just out of bow range. But t on opening day of gun season I was able to catch up with him. He ran by me chasing a doe through the woods and I couldn't get a clean shot. I had a feeling he pushed her to a thicker not far away. After a few minutes I decided to make a move and circle upwind of the thicket. Slowly making my way looking into the thicket I found him and a 80 yard shot put an end to one of the better season's I've had. I haven't used trail cameras for several years due to the fact they keep getting stolen. I've went back to a more traditional way of hunting and It's the best decision I've made for hunting.
