Good luck brotha, my brother and family live in WA. The year I harvested my 6x6 my nephew harvested a 5x5 the day prior. Good luck!

@Rachel I have dreamed of getting an elk since I was a kid. So I am very excited. I live in an area of Kentucky that has a large herd but you can't get a tag

@Mike sounds like a good plan. Washington can be tough but get off the roads and trails 1/2 mile or more and you will find some critters. Calling is your friend, and most bulls come in silent… I have a love hate relationship with Rosie’s. Haha

Cow calls, I’ve largely had great success with those when the bulls weren’t bugling. I’d have to agree with Calder they’ve largely come in quite. My 6x6 didn’t make a peep and when I took my cow last year, the 5x5 my guide saw didn’t make himself heard/seen. Good luck and be safe!

Thank you all. I have dreamed of getting my first elk for years. Hopefully this is the year.
