You’ve got a wire hair! I’ve thought those would make the neatest bird dog. 

She is a Drahthaar and my third and last one my wife says. I got 31 years of hunting out of the first two. I love the versatility of the breed. Great pointers and retriever’s. 

@Butch Cole oh wow! Good temperament? I’ve heard it can be hit or miss with a wire hair. But what about the Drahthaars?

I’ve had three and been around several all had great manners. All family dogs. I have 17 grandkids that grew up around my dogs no trouble. I will text you a few pictures of this one growing up. She is just two years.

Pheasant opener in Nebraska today. In southwest Nebraska we are very dry have been for over a year. I haven’t seen one pheasant all year. So imagine my surprise when my pup pointed after an hour of walking this morning and a roster pheasant flew up. My pup retrieved him to me. We hunted until noon that was the only bird I saw. We both went home tired and Happy! Also very thankful.
