What a sweet story, Brian! Live this! He's a nice buck! That log is a special spot. Maybe make a sign and stick it near it with a little history π

Amazing story and very blessed to have honored your father in that way. I inherited my grandfather 45.70 contender pistol it is a hand full but he always wanted to kill a big deer with it and passed before he was able to so now that is my goal for the next big deer I get a chance at

@Gabriel I try to keep his spirit alive, my youngest son was only 2 when his grandfather passed so he doesn't remember him, but I have shared everything he taught me to him and make sure all my kids know who he was.

@T.J. he was a true outdoorsman, he commercial fished, hunted and trapped for a living and passed his knowledge on to me so I could be self sufficient myself, and I followed in his footsteps for several years also.
