Great buck congratulations… I always thought a 223 wouldn’t be adequate for bigger game like deer but you seem to be having success with it 👍

@Gerald thanks! yes i always try to mentions it’s a 223/.556 because people typically don’t think that it can.. actually, in 2018 i shot an 8 pointer at 370 yards with the exact same gun.. the deer ran 60 yards and died.. they’re plenty big enough, it’s all about shot placement.

@brayden Wow that’s good evidence it’s plenty strong enough.. here in Colorado the law is that it has to be .24 or bigger so we’re not allowed to use 223 on deer or pronghorn here.. though I think it would be a perfect gun for youth to start with..

@Gerald ah yeah.. i’ve never been to colorado but i have been to idaho and utah.. very beautiful terrain.. i’m actually going back to idoho this september to elk hunt

@brayden Idaho is very beautiful I love that state.. gotta try a hunt up there sometime good luck man there’s bigger bulls up there than here in Colorado I think

@Gerald oh yeah.. the place we’re going has a couple of 380 or 400’s on camera.. also ofc not, lol.. it’s illegal to hunt elk with 223.. it has to be .308 and above i think.. but i’m going with a bow in september, so it doesn’t matter which caliber i would have to use 😂
