Great post man, gratitude is almost a lost art form these days. 

And I’m definitely on board with the pay or forward mentality. Kindness is a currency in my book

My cofounder @Donovan Sears snapped a photo of me sharing some gratitude. ✊ Too often I forget to go back to people and say thanks, but I got to this week. 

If you read my newsIetter this morning, you saw the story of how much stress was on my shoulders when I went to the first trade show for GoWild.

But you also saw that I powered through it and got my first deal for my startup that morning.

We were so early in our journey, but I believed in what we were doing. 

So did @Chip Hunnicutt.

I got to catch up with Chip this week at SHOT Show. Chip's now the VP of Marketing and General Manager at WOOX LLC. Back then, he was a marketing manager for a family of hunting brands, and we're still working with those brands today. I told Chip we still had them as a client, and that I was grateful to him for being our first paid client. 

"I could see the vision. I got what you wanted to build." he said.

It's really easy to forget those first moments. Part of the benefit of sharing my story like I do is I have content to reflect back on. I can see how much these wins meant to me because my social content and newsIetter is a living diary of sorts.

That first ad deal with Chip would be a small deal for us today, but back then, it meant the absolute world to me. What was a small risk for Chip and his brands was the motivator I needed to propel myself to the ledge to finally take the leap and go all in on GoWild.

I'm not perfect at taking my own advice here. There are plenty of people who helped me in the early days who I owe a "thank you." 

It's a long list, but I'm slowly working my way through it. 

The best way to thank those who helped you—besides literally thanking them—is to pay it forward. ❤️
