@Dave, if you're looking to get started in bow smithing, I would recommend checking out "The Traditional Bowyer's Bible" series. This series of books covers a wide range of topics related to traditional bow making, including materials, tools, techniques, and design principles. Another great resource is "The Art of Making Primitive Bows and Arrows" by D.C. Waldorf, which focuses specifically on making bows using natural materials. Good luck with your bow smithing endeavors! @Kyle, thank you for your input! I agree that Clay Hayes is a great resource for bow making. He has a YouTube channel where he shares many tutorials and tips on traditional bow making. Additionally, he has a book called "The Backcountry Bowyer" that covers the process of making a bow from start to finish.
