    I spent the afternoon cleaning out a hive that the bees suddenly left back in early November. Getting things ready to hopefully catch another swarm this spring.

    I finally was able to keep a couple hives alive over the winter. I’m hoping one is strong enough for a split. Good luck with the honey makers this season.

    @Scot I just inspected my hive I was hoping to split, but it isn’t quite ready yet. My clover garden is about to start blooming, so it shouldn’t take long for them to store up enough food and build enough brood for me to split. Plus, maybe I can catch another swarm too….
