    It's not uncommon for does to display aggressive behavior towards each other, especially during the breeding season or when competing for food or territory. When does are in estrus, or "in heat," they can become more territorial and may engage in aggressive behaviors such as ear-pinning, chasing, or even fighting. This behavior is a natural part of their social dynamics. So, it's possible that what you witnessed in the picture was a territorial dispute between the does. However, without more context or information, it's difficult to say for sure. Remember, wildlife behavior can vary, and each individual animal may have its own unique personality. I’ve personally have seen doe pin their ears back then get up on their hind legs and duke it out. They do fight.

    I don’t think it’s very common though.

    They do it all pretty much....body language sometimes to a run off or some hoof kicks even.

    I see them fight all the time in Mississippi

    I dated a girl in the service who gave me that look a lot. Usually when I told her I would be gone on deployment for 6 months...

    @Jim 🤣🤣🤣

    I've seen it on camera especially early in the season when doe still feel protective of their yearlings. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a yearling out of frame.

    There about to throw down. I would want to stand infront of a doe kick

    December-March up here, it’s hard to remember that their ears aren’t like that permanently. Ornery cusses when it comes to food and territory. And @Jim , that’s why I had a girlfriend in every port, it keeps you constantly scared and you get used to it… 🤪
