@Brad to this day, fifty years later, every time I detect the aroma of canvas, I am I instantly transported in time to my back yard in NE Pennsylvania. Nights full of lightning bugs, moths and June bugs colliding with the tent walls, and the tales long into the night. Such wonderful times with my friends and brothers!

@Adam back home where I used to live would hear them all the time late at night, would wake me up then I'd just go back to sleep with their singing.

@Adam had them start up while I was sleeping in an open air bunk house with my son this spring. 30 min I heard foot steps on the doorway. I was sleeping on the ground and just knew I was about to have to fight a coyote. π whatever it was left though

@Gobbler they sure are. We did the same thing in the very small town I grew up in. Nothing in the world like that kind of life.
