    This is absolutely amazing! He didn't get that completely on his own! Well done dad! Message me an address and ill send a check and pre order some cups for if I'm in Kansas ever! He certainly deserves some business!!

    Can't wait to see the pics of him receiving his rifle!

    @Kevin we’ve been talking all day about calibers, and what to get. We’re thinking 6.5 creedmore.

  • Nathan's avatar

    @Nathan…creedmoor

  • EPIC's avatar

    @Nathan if I were shopping for one...I would certainly consider my ability to procure the ammo for whatever caliber you choose. Sounds like a stupid variable to have to consider but these days, it unfortunately is

  • Nathan's avatar

    @Kevin, true. We’ve got a local shop that seems to be able to keep a lot of ammo in stock. The thing I have a hard time with right now is .40.

  • EPIC's avatar

    I like the 6.5 though...for sure! Always been a fan of 270 and 7's too

  • EPIC's avatar

    @Nathan thats good! I only muzzleloader and bow hunt so I haven't shopped in a long while. But I always hear about lol

  • Nathan's avatar

    Yeah, I like the 270. I think 6.5 has a bit less kick. I’m probably going to get another gun in the next year or so and .270 and 7mm are on the list. Looking for a good do-it-all in North America caliber….6.5 might be creeping onto that list.

    @Kevin I’ve never muzzleloader hunted, or even shot. Sounds cool. What bow setup do you shoot?

  • EPIC's avatar

    This season i carried my crossbow most of it. I lost my dang quiver on my bow back in September on my first trip out. Then I missed a spike with my old crossbow so I got mad and went and bought a 10pt shadow nxt lol. (It was me, not the bow lol) however this crossbow is outstanding! My compound i shoot an old Parkers Wildfire XP w/ blood hunter 400 arrows and 100gr montec g5

    Blood sport arrows*

    Nice! I’m going to buy a bow in the next week or so. Probably a PSE brute or drive. I haven’t settled in arrows yet, but am probably going to try high FOC.

    Awesome you have to love this!! Great job dad!! Fine young man!! 👊

  • Nathan's avatar

    @Jim thanks. It’s one of those moments that reminds me we are moving in the right direction.

    @Nathan if your anywhere near a bass pro outlet store....I buy all my bows from there. Most are reconditioned but warrantied same as new. Usually saves 60%. I got that tenpoint out the door for 550 and its a 1500 bow new

  • Nathan's avatar

    @Kevin wow!! That’s amazing!

  • EPIC's avatar

    @Nathan there's one here in Springfield...might be worth the drive?? I could run by and inventory what they have one evening. Could probably call and purchase as well but shipping might be steep

    That is awesome! We buy our kids a 20ga for their 12th bday. My oldest worked, saved up, and bought his own .308 when he was 14. Now, my second oldest is half way to his own .30-06.

  • Nathan's avatar

    @RKE we’ve been having a lot of conversations about first guns around here lately. My wife is throwing around the word obsessed.😆

  • RKE 🏕️'s avatar

    @Nathan sounds like you are on the right track! We have 5 kids that all need guns so she must really think we are nuts!!!!

  • Nathan's avatar

    @RKE ha! I told her we’re going to need a bigger safe.
