Makes you wish you could take the pain for them. C had his front wheel come off his bike and landed on his face when he was about 9. Must be something with baseball players.

@Brad thanks man. The only credit I take is in not letting him win everything when he was little, haha. He’d get so competitive because he hates losing. When he caught on to the fact that I gave him a win once in awhile, I think that pissed him off more 🤣

@Tom exactly. There’s no doubt he handled it better than we did, but man.... if it hadn’t been for all the 💩 I’ve seen, I don’t know how I’d have held it together when he come running to me. As soon as the first surgery was completed, I was jello for a few hours. Might have even snuck some apple juice into the hospital🥃🤪

@Mike wow - crazy story! It’s amazing what some kids can handle and work through. He’s one that’s not going to let anything come between him and his goals! Keep raising him right! 🙌🏻

You have a good reason to be proud of him, you raised him right and out of determination he wouldn't give up. You and him both have my utmost respect. 👊

@Lacey thanks Lacey, he has a sense of humor too. He had stories about how it happened ranging from riding a bull, to bar fights and surprising a grizz on the trail🤣. He always came clean though, so it shows he has integrity too, haha.

@Brian thank you sir. I’ll post the video of that hunt when I can get it back on my phone. He was Cool Hand Luke. It still inspires me to this day.

@Chuck thanks Chuck. Here’s the real kicker. Right after it happened, he and the dog both came running to me. I truly believe the dog had no idea what he did, because when they got to me, the dog was watching back where they’d come from, like he was searching for the threat. The first thing Wyatt said, with his cheek dangling below his chin was “it was my fault dad, he was falling and I tried to grab him.” After I put it back in place with gauze and said “it’s gonna be ok bud”, he just looked at me and said “I know.” And if I think about it all too long, I tear up as well man. 👊
