Been trying to Catch this Tom since November... and Saturday morning on the way out to the mountains my wife and I received a call that my best friend and man that taught me how to lion hunt and be a dog man passed away that night...we shedded some tears collared dogs and went hunting...a hour into the hike the dogs struck that Tom lion track but took it backwards for about a mile before I found the track and turned the dogs around...the dogs trailed that Tom about 3/4 before catching up with him and treeing 800 yards from the pickup and I can’t stop thinking about how my best friend prolly had a lot to do with catching this Tom.
