GoWild Unveils Alternative to Facebook Groups for Outdoor Brands
January 20, 2020

LAS VEGAS—While mainstream social media platforms throttle outdoors and firearms content, one social media company is expanding its functionality for hunters, shooters and outdoor brands.

GoWild a social platform built by outdoor enthusiasts for outdoor enthusiasts, unveiled plans for customizable forums for both members and brands at the hunting and shooting industry’s largest trade event, SHOT Show. Similar to Facebook’s Groups, GoWild’s Custom Trails will allow for niche conversations. The functionality matches and exceeds that found in Facebook Groups. The company notes that the most significant difference is GoWild’s support of hunters, firearms enthusiasts and the 2nd Amendment.

“What started as vague advertising guidelines against firearms and bows quickly made its way into content policy. A misunderstanding of what it means to be a shooter or hunter has caused increased censorship of legal activity, it’s driven demonetization, and now, introduced an outright ban in influencer marketing for firearms companies. This has been going on for years, and to think our industry is suddenly going to find solace would be naive. It’s time for a solution from within the outdoor industry.” - GoWild™ Cofounder, CEO, Brad Luttrell.

Luttrell, the hunter who formed GoWild in 2016, believes his team’s platform is well positioned to provide the appropriate online community for outdoor enthusiasts. The company has worked with a wide array of outdoor companies, including Polaris Adventures, Garmin, First Lite, Obsession Bows, Riton Optics, Canik, SCI, National Wild Turkey Federation, Houston Safari Club Foundation and many more. With an engaging audience and rapid growth, GoWild’s Client Partners are also behind the move.

“GoWild’s insights into the outdoor community and marketing capabilities put your brand at the right place, at the right time, to connect with passionate consumers,” said GoWild Client Partner, Corey Consuegra, Head of Marketing for Arcus Brands. “We’ve worked with GoWild since its inception and we’re excited about this next step in the continued development of the best platform for hunters and shooters.”

GoWild’s new product is slated to be released Spring of 2020.
