GoWild Recipe: Turkey Fried Rice

GoWild Recipe: Turkey Fried Rice
May 1, 2017
If you're looking for a twist on your wild turkey, look no further. This recipe will make the whole family ask for a second helping. You can adjust to suit your taste. Want it spicy? Add an extra jalapeño. Like a little burst of sweetness in your Chinese food? The pineapple is a non-traditional but tasty addition. Kids don't like broccoli? Too bad. Tell them you had to eat it when you were a kid, so they do, too.

Directions

Ensure you've cut your turkey into small cubes—don't leave any large chunks. Heat a really large skillet, or a wok if you have it. Add 2 teaspoons of your oil. Add pepper, onion, carrots and broccoli florets. Cook until crisp, yet tender. Remove, and set aside. Add 2 more teaspoons oil to wok. Add eggs, scramble, remove. Add remaining oil. Add turkey breast, and stir-fry until cooked, about 10 minutes. Add soy sauce to taste. Return vegetables and eggs to wok. Add rice and additional soy sauce, as desired. Mix thoroughly and serve hot.

Add 2 more teaspoons oil to wok. Add eggs, scramble, remove for now.

Add remaining oil. Add turkey breast, and stir-fry until cooked, about 10 minutes. Add soy sauce to taste (remember—soy sauce's salty taste varies per brand so tread lightly). Return vegetables and eggs to wok. Add rice and additional soy sauce, as desired. Mix thoroughly and serve hot.
